CSR

An area of great interest to me personally is that of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). The practice of business in an ethical fashion, which ensures that a business actions does not adversely effect any 3rd party stakeholders. CSR and Business ethics, is becoming increasingly important within modern business practice how ever some CSR means/procedures are purely put in place by companies who have an enlightened self interest in what those actions of positive socially and environmental nature will do to their success or profits, others CSR procedures however are carried out purely for the common good. I understand why all reasons maybe used, however I believe morality is at the heart of positive business decisions and that should be enough of an incentive on its own.
